Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone, born on 5 January, 1986 (pronounced as [diPIka Paduko or [paDuko"paDuko"), is a famous Indian actor in films. She is mainly seen in films that are primarily Hindi-language. It is among the top-paid actors in India with her accomplishments that are three Filmfare Awards. She features in listings among the most well-known personalities; Time named her one of the top 100 influential people around the globe in the year 2018 and gave her The TIME100 Impact Award in 2022. Padukone is the daughter of the player of badminton Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and grew up in Bangalore. As a teenager she participated in badminton competitions at tournaments at national level, but decided to end her sport to work as a fashion model. She soon received offers for movie roles. She started her acting career in 2006 with the lead character in Aishwarya, a Kannada movie Aishwarya. Padukone later played a duo character alongside Shah Rukh Khan in her first Bollywood release, a romance Om Shanti Om (2007) in which she was awarded the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Padukone's role as the lead of Love Aaj Kal was well liked, but it was quickly followed by a setback that was unfortunate.
