Swift is able to tap into the current trend and turn it into her personal. Swift's first hits, particularly her neo celebration of Tim McGraw, showed off her talents. However, her album Fearless showcased a writer who was discovering herself and was able to draw a wide audience. Fearless became a massive success not only in the United States and six of the singles were declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and you Belong with Me. But it also smashed records across the globe. Swift's next album Speak Now, released just two years after the debut, further consolidated this momentum. The album propelled Swift into the spotlight. With her subsequent three albums, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) Reputation (2017), her popularity increased and she found herself in a world of pop music in which it became clear she deserved to be. Her name was always in the forefront of pop until she reverted to her signature style in her twin albums folklore & Evermore in 2020.
