It continued through September of 2008 at which point the Morton family quit Coronation Street. Barden's film debut was in Mrs Ratcliffe's Revolution which was a comedy-drama. In 2009, she portrayed her role as Pea as a stage production Jerusalem at the Royal Court Theatre in London and was later transferred onto the Apollo Theatre in the West End.
